20 monophonic ring tones

The Siemens C25 is a GSM - mobile phone , which by the company Siemens was brought in 1999 to the market. At the time it caused quite a stir because it was exceptionally inexpensive as a device suitable for dual band , while its handy size and weight reached the level of the upper class.

Functions

The monochrome LC display can show 3 × 12 characters. There are 20 monophonic ring tones stored; Another ring tone can be composed individually by pressing a button. In keeping with the times, there are no multimedia applications such as data interfaces or MMS options.

The operating instructions specify a standby time of a maximum of 100 hours or a talk time of a maximum of five hours for the originally supplied 650 mA NiMH battery. The SAR value differs depending on the network used and is 0.72 W / kg for GSM 1800 ( E-Netz ) and 1.33 W / kg for GSM 900 ( D-Netz ).

When sending SMS it should be noted that the mobile phone does not have a letter counter, as was common with various devices back then. If the maximum number of 160 characters is reached, no further characters will be accepted without warning. The dealer was also able to equip the device with a SIM lock . If an attempt is made to unlock the device by entering the unlock code, the device, unlike today's cell phones, does not lock itself completely, even if the maximum permitted unsuccessful attempts are exceeded. Use with the SIM card originally intended is still possible, but activation for other cards is no longer possible.
