Club (soccer)
The forerunner of Sievershäger SV is the company sports association Tractor Sievershagen, founded in 1950 . Name changes analogous to many other company sports associations were not carried out until 1989. Tractor Sievershagen played no role in the higher-class GDR football, the BSG moved below the third or fourth class district league Rostock during its existence .
After the political change , the BSG was converted into the civil association Sievershäger SV 1950 in 1990 . On a sporting level, the SSV was able to quickly establish itself in the higher-class football of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. In 1994 Sievershagen rose to the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Association League, in which the previously unknown club with secured midfield positions could hold. In 2003, the championship in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania was won for the first time. Sievershagen was able to prevail just before the equal points FC Tollense Neubrandenburg . The associated rise to the Oberliga Nordost , in which the SSV achieved only seven wins in 36 point games and was only penultimate in the end, was followed by immediate relegation. Since this brief upper division termzzo, Sievershäger SV has been back in the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Association League, since 2008 sixth division. For the 2008/09 season, the football department started with 15 teams, including nine junior teams. In the 2011/12 season, the club was in the national cup final for the first time , which was lost 1-0 to FC Schönberg 95 . In 2012/13 Sievershäger SV was again national champion, but for financial reasons waived promotion to the Oberliga Nordost. In the following 2013/14 season, Sievershäger SV qualified again for the state cup final: SSV lost 4-0, this time their opponent was 1. FC Neubrandenburg (Oberliga Nordost). Before the start of the 2015/16 season, the club had to withdraw its team from the association league for personnel reasons. The previous second team, which is active in the district Oberliga Warnow, became the new first soccer team of Sievershäger SV.
