Sigeric I.
Sigeric (also Siric ) was a king of the Anglo-Saxon Kingdom of Essex who ruled as the successor to Swithred from an unknown date until 798.
All that is known of Sigeric is that he abdicated in 798 to go to Rome as a pilgrim . Sigered succeeded him as king . The further fate of Sigeric and the year of his death are unknown.
