Dan Olofsson founded Sigma in 1986. In the years that followed, the company grew and expanded abroad from 1996 onwards. From 1997 to 2013 Sigma was listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. 2001 the companies Epsilon and Teleca are spun off.
Sigma offers consulting services around IT services. This particularly includes services related to the development of IT systems, data networks and information management.
