history

In 2001 the IT consultancy Sigma AB, founded by Dan Olofsson in 1986, was split into three companies. Teleca AB took over the Embedded Solutions division from Sigma AB. The two other companies Sigma AB ( company remained the same) and Epsilon AB, which in turn emerged from two divisions of the old Sigma AB, "E-Solutions" and "Engineering Solutions", were split between the shareholders and went on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. According to this division, Teleca AB had around 1,200 employees. In 2002 Teleca AB merged with AU-System and formed one of the largest consulting companies in Europe in the fields of advanced technologies and research and development . After the merger, the two companies employed approximately 2200 people. Teleca AB signed in 2002 outsourcing agreements with Ericsson for research and development in France and Norway. At the end of 2003 the group had more than 2,700 employees. By establishing a new location in Lodz in 2004, the focus was also directed towards so-called low - wage countries . Teleca sold one of its subsidiaries, Benemia, to Ångpanneföreningen. At the same time, the company's internal structure changed to Teleca Mobile and AU Systems. Teleca bought Telma Soft, a Russian consulting company that specializes in the development of mobile phone software. In 2007 a further location was established in China and the locations in Russia and Poland were enlarged. In 2008 the company started additional activities in India and closed the branch in France. At the end of 2008 there were signs of a takeover by CayTel.

Due to the takeover by CayTel, Teleca has not been listed on the stock exchange since March 2, 2009.

The Teleca Nuremberg location was closed on April 1, 2012.

In February 2012, Teleca merged with Symphony Services, based in Palo Alto, California, to form Symphony Teleca.
