Sigrid Klösges

Sigrid Klösges (* May 20, 1938 in Krefeld ; † July 6, 2000 ) was a German politician of the SPD .

education and profession

After completing secondary school in 1955, Sigrid Klösges attended a commercial college. From 1956 to 1970 she worked as a secretary and clerk in various economic sectors. She worked for her husband's insurance agency from 1970 to 1975. From 1975 to 1984 she was an independent insurance general agent.

politics

Sigrid Klösges had been a member of the SPD since 1965. She was a member of the SPD sub-district executive in Krefeld and the Lower Rhine district executive of the working group for educational policy. Klösges was also a member of the local committee of the SPD Krefeld-West. From 1984 she became a member of the Council of the City of Krefeld and from 1989 she became deputy parliamentary group leader. Furthermore, she acted as chairwoman of the school committee in the council of the city of Krefeld.

Klösges was a member of the supervisory board of the business development company, and she was also on the administrative board of Sparkasse Krefeld.

Sigrid Klösges was a directly elected member of the 12th and 13th state parliaments of North Rhine-Westphalia from June 1, 1995 until her death on July 6, 2000 .
