Sigutė Jakštonytė
Sigutė Jakštonytė (* 1956 in Alytus ) is a Lithuanian diplomat and lawyer .
Life
After graduating from secondary school in Alytus, she graduated from Vilniaus universitetas in 1979 . From 1999 to 2000 she studied at Oxford University (UK). From 1979 to 1984 she worked as a senior consultant in the Soviet Lithuanian Ministry of Justice , from 1984 to 1989 assistant to the subdivision for administration and law of the Council of Ministers of Soviet Lithuania, from 1989 to 1991 in the economic relations department of the Lithuanian government , from 1992 in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania , from 2002 to 2008 ambassador in Canada , from 2008 in Malaysia .
