Siku Museum

The Siku Museum is a museum opened on December 1, 1999 in Stadtlohn , Borken district .

Over 36,000 model vehicles and 90 original vehicles are exhibited on an area of ​​approx. 2,000 m² . The location of the museum is near the Dutch border. The museum is operated privately by Thomas Höing.

Content focus

The exhibition comprises three main themes:

  1. The history of the Lüdenscheid toy manufacturer Sieper from 1951 to the present is shown with over 24,000 models . This also includes margarine figures , large Siku models, foreign and advertising models. A few dioramas with the original street plans from the 1960s complement the theme.
  2. The history of the Audi brand is exhibited with over 11,000 miniature models. The collection also includes models from the Auto Union , DKW , Horch , NSU , Wanderer and Lamborghini brands as well as the VW types K 70 and Iltis .
  3. A special exhibition includes around 1,000 Wiking models.
  4. The third focus is on original vehicles from vintage and youngtimers, primarily Audi, as well as Audi special bodies. This includes vehicles from Walter Treser Automobilbau , conversions from Crayford Engineering , Artz Bischofberger and Pollmann, as well as an Audi 5000 Picasso stretch limousine built only once .

The exhibition is complemented by a number of other vintage cars from the brands BMW , DKW , Mercedes , Tempo , VW as well as tractors and two-wheelers

Type of presentation

The model vehicles are sorted by topic and year of construction in glass showcases. The original vehicles are presented in the middle of the room. They are also arranged according to themes (special bodies / series) or year of construction.

Temporary exhibitions

Every now and then there are temporary exhibitions such as art exhibitions on toys and automobiles.
