Silenos (Glossograph)

Silenus ( Greek  Σιληνός , around 200 BC) was a Greek glossographer .

From his work Γλῶσσαι (Glossai), Athenaios and a Scholion to Apollonios of Rhodes have handed down nine fragments of dialectal expressions of drinking vessels. In it he quotes from the work of Nicandros . Presumably his glossary was used by Kleitarchus .
