Silent Civilian (German: "Stiller Zivilist") is an American metalcore band from California. It is often assigned to Thrash Metal . The band was formed in 2004 shortly after singer Johnny Santos left his previous band Spineshank . The band has released two albums to date.

history

On May 2, 2006, the debut album Rebirth of the Temple was released on the Mediaskare label. The album sold about 25,000 copies in the US by mid-June 2007 and received mostly positive reviews. The first single from it was the title song of the album, for which a music video was shot. Guest musicians Roy Mayorga ( Stone Sour ) and Wayne Static ( Static-X ) can also be seen in the video . The second single was The Song Remains Un-Named , for which a video was also produced. Silent Civilian toured the United States with bands like Kittie , Bring Me The Horizon, and It Dies Today . The next single was Live Again .

At the end of 2007, drummer Chris Mora announced that he was leaving the band. With the successor Ryan Halpert, the group worked together on the successor to the debut album. In March 2009 the audience was able to get a first impression of the new album Ghost Stories , as the first demo song was made available for listening on the Myspace page.

In the meantime, Johnny Santos had made up with his old band Spineshank and was already working on new songs with them. On May 18, 2010, Ghost Stories was published via Century Media . The accompanying single is called Last One Standing . A video was also made for this single.
