The Silk Glacier is a 15-kilometer-long glacier that flows from the eastern slopes of the Churchill Mountains between Mount Frost and Mount Zinkovich to the Nursery Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him after Peter RH Silk of the Royal New Zealand Navy , commander of the HMNZS Endeavor II in Antarctic waters from 1963 to 1964.
