Silke & Dirk Spielberg is a German Schlager duo that has been active since 1999.
Life
Silke Spielberg was born as Silke Grundmann on June 13, 1978 in what was then the Graefenhainichen district. As a toddler she developed her love for music. Her parents encouraged this by having Silke sing in her own restaurant. At the age of 13, Grundmann celebrated her first great success when she reached 2nd place in the young talent competition in 1997 in the ZDF TV garden. This was followed by 2 albums.
Dirk Spielberg, born in Roßlau (Elbe) , also discovered his love for music as a young boy. In 1979 he joined the Roßlauer Spielmannszug. Already 4 years later Spielberg, as the youngest staff leader, clocked 4,000 minstrels in front of over 100,000 spectators in the Leipzig Central Stadium on the occasion of the 7th Gymnastics and Sports Festival of the GDR . Dirk learned various instruments, including accordion , drums and flute . Dirk Spielberg has also been active as a singer since 1989. In 1998 he won the Barbarine Cup on the occasion of the white-green hit parade with his song "Summer Wind from Santa Monica". This was followed by a solo album by successful music producer Wolfgang Schwalm , the producer of the Wildecker Herzbuben .
Since 2006 they have been with Helly Kumpusch (Hellywood Music) in Austria.
Musical career
In 1999, Grundmann and Spielberg get to know each other. From then on, both of them mainly sang love songs in duets and joined forces under the name "Silke and Dirk". Since then they have appeared in various TV and radio programs, e. B. Here from four or television garden . In 2009 the culmination of their mutual musical career followed - winning the Herbert Roth Prize in the "Young Duos" category.
Private
Silke and Dirk Spielberg had been a couple since 2000 and finally got married in 2007. Their son Carlos was born in 2009 - on Silke Spielberg's birthday.
