Silvia Eulalia Catalina Tortosa López (born March 8, 1947 in Barcelona ) is a Spanish actress .

Live and act

Born in Catalonia, she received training in drawing, painting and illustration at the Escuela de Artes Suntuarias Massana and trained as an actress at the Instituto del Teatro. Silvia Tortosa was already on stage at the age of 15: she played little Dorothy in a performance of The Wizard of Oz .

In film since 1966, the attractive artist only occasionally managed to escape the role stereotypes of the attractive, sensual, young girl and decorative appendage. Silvia Tortosa has starred in films of the most varied genres: comedies, romances and melodramas. In the star-studded horror film Horror-Express , she played Countess Irina Petrowska at the side of Peter Cushing , Christopher Lee and Telly Savalas , who, together with other train travelers, fell into the clutches of an alien monster. In 1987, Silvia Tortosa was also involved as a writer and producer on the erotic social and former elodrama “ La señora ”. In 1998 she directed a short film.

Silvia Tortosa continued to appear in plays (including Demasiadas cosas prohibidas, The Miser, La herida luminosa ) and appeared in television productions, including the series Bajo el mismo techo and La huella del crimen . Even more than with her artistic activities, the actress made headlines in the Spanish yellow press with her numerous love affairs and marriages . In 2007 she published her memoir under the title Mi vida oculta .
