Simon Bohlmann

Simon Bohlmann (born November 19,  1986 in Berlin ) is a former German football player .

career

As an adolescent, Bohlmann played for the Berlin Wildcats (until 2000) and the Berlin Rebels (2001 to 2005). At the latter club he made the leap into the men's team, for which he was on the pitch between 2005 and 2008 in the second division.

In the run-up to the 2009 game, Bohlmann, who measures 1.80 meters and was mostly used as a linebacker in the men's area (sometimes also as a running back , as a pass defender and safety ), joined the Braunschweig Lions and thus switched to the nationwide top division, the GFL . After initially three years in Lower Saxony, Bohlmann was back in 2012 for the Berlin Rebels (now in the GFL). He was back in Braunschweig for the 2013 season. With the Löwen he became German champions in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016, and in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 they also won the Eurobowl . As part of the German national team, he won the silver medal at the World Games in 2017 .

In May 2019, Bohlmann announced his retirement from competitive sports for health reasons. In December 2019, he took up the post of head coach of the Braunschweig U19 team.
