Simon Evenett

Simon J. Evenett (born July 26, 1969 ) is a British professor of international trade and economic development.

Life

Evenett is a British citizen. He studied economics at Cambridge University from 1987 to 1990 and received his PhD from Yale University in 1995 . He later worked twice at the World Bank , was a senior fellow in the economics program of the Brookings Institution in Washington , DC, and taught as a professor at Oxford University, among others . Evenett is currently working at the University of St. Gallen , where he is director of the Swiss Institute for Foreign Trade and Applied Economic Research.
