Simon Woodward

Simon Woodward is a British chemist and professor at Nottingham University .

Career

Woodward received his B.Sc. at the University of Sheffield , after which he was a PhD student in Mark J. Winter's group , where he finally received his Ph.D. in mechanistic organometallic chemistry. After postdoctoral work at the University of Michigan and the Dyson Perrins Laboratory Oxford , he was employed in the chemistry department at Hull University . In 1999 he was given a teaching position as a reader at Nottingham University. Since 2006 he has held a chair for synthetic organic chemistry there.
