Simon of Haarlem

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Simon von Haarlem (or Simon van Herlam ) was a Dutch painter in the early 16th century.

There is evidence of Simon von Haarlem's activity in Antwerp from 1501 to 1524 . He was accepted into the Antwerp Guild of St. Luke in 1502 and is mentioned as a teacher of Joos van Cleve . He was probably very successful and ran a workshop with several apprentices. Among other things, he delivered altars to Spain.

Perhaps one could identify Simon von Haarlem with the master of the Morrison triptych .
