Sinawe ( kor. 시나위 ) is a three- piece metal and alternative rock band from South Korea .

history

The band leader and guitarist Shin Dae-cheol founded the band in 1983, which released their first album Heavy Metal Sinawe in 1986 , which sold over 400,000 times. The band is considered to be the first metal band in South Korea. In their career, the band has recorded nine studio albums so far, although they separated between 1991 and 1995. Former musicians of the band became famous stars in South Korea even after they left the band, such as Seo Taiji , Kim Bada and Yim Jae-beom . In her later career, her music turned more towards alternative rock and not so much towards metal. In 2013, after a seven-year break, they released the mini album Mirrorview , the concept of which they call " Bibimbap ".
