Sindri is a dwarf of Norse mythology who, together with his brother Brokkr, created the golden boar Gullinborsti , the golden ring Draupnir and the hammer Mjölnir . Brokkr gave the golden boar to Freyr , the ring to Odin, and the hammer Thor . (See also Loki's bet with the dwarves in the Skáldskaparmál in the younger Edda ).

Theories

Viktor Rydberg equates Sindri with the dwarfs Dvalin and Nabbi in his Teutonic Mythology .

Occurrence in modern times

In 2018, Sindri is a dwarf in the latest offshoot of the God of War game series . There he and his brother Brok forged both the Mjölnir hammer and the Leviathan ax, which is the main weapon of the main character Kratos. In the game, he and his brother act as shopkeepers, where equipment can be bought and improved.
