Sinfoglesia is a music project by the German composer and music producer Christoph Siemons .

background

Christoph Siemons, who is active in the symphonic metal band Krypteria and composed various hit songs, founded the music project Sinfoglesia after he had survived a serious heart disease . He underwent heart surgery in 2013 and decided to write a mass . For six years, Siemons worked with around 100 musicians during recording breaks in his studio. He then put the individual recordings together later. The result is a previously unreleased album, which is due to be released in 2020 via the newly founded digital publisher Burda Forward , a sub-label of Hubert Burda Media .

During the COVID-19 pandemic in Germany , the project released its first single Victoriam , which was composed solely of the three lines of Latin text “Victoriam misericordia / Victoriam vitae / Omnia speramus” (“The victory of humanity, the victory of care is the victory of life that we all want. ”). The track is performed by a classical orchestra and choir, the video recordings consist of video clips of the musicians involved in their apartments (within the scope of the official spatial distancing ).

The song was part of the #CoronaCare campaign: Germany helps itself from Focus Online and Burda Forward. The food banks in Germany are to be supported with the sales of the song . The song appeared on all major music platforms. On the day of its release, the song reached number 1 on the iTunes pop charts. The single reached number 51 in the German charts.
