Christoph Siemons (born March 25, 1969 in Augsburg ) is a German music producer and guitarist for the band Krypteria .

life and career

Beginnings until 1999

Christoph Siemons started playing guitar at the age of twelve. After graduating from high school in Aachen in 1988, he studied guitar in Maastricht and Cologne. His first major release in 1988 was a contribution to the theme music of the RTL program Mosh . Mosh was a metal music show hosted by Sabina Classen and Götz Kühnemund . During these years he played in various metal and hard rock bands, including Venice , Healer , 481 , Stammheim , Mosquito and Violent Kids (together with Uli Kusch - ex Helloween , Gamma Ray , Masterplan ). At that time he was working as a studio guitarist and guitar teacher. From 1996 Christoph Siemons worked together with Bob Arnz and Reiner Hömig as producers for acts like Michael Evans , an actor from Unter Uns , die Verliebten Jungs , who won the ZDF hit parade three times, and the girl group Deeva , the two singles in the German charts could place. The producer trio became a producer duo with Christoph Siemons and Bob Arnz under the name twoformusic . In early 2000 they developed the musical concept for Big Brother . 2002 to 2010

As Bob Arnz wanted to move his center of life to the island of Ibiza , Siemons and Arnz agreed to work together in a looser group in the future. In order to clearly state that this loosening of the alliance did not mean a break between the two, Bob Arnz traded under the name twoformedia and Christoph Siemons continued to trade under twoformusic . Their joint publisher Edition twoformusic-EMI Music Publishing , which was founded in 2000, continued to run without change. Christoph Siemons worked solo as a producer in the future. In 2002 he produced and wrote the album Sanctavia for BMG.

His next project was the idea for the rock musical Krypteria . He developed this project with singer and songwriter Michael SC Kuschnerus and the author Wolfgang Link. Since this project did not find its way onto a stage, he released Krypteria as a double album with a continuous story (concept album) on Sony Music. The title song from this double album Liberatio , sung by the musical and rock singer Sylvia Gonzalez Bolivar , who had already contributed all the female vocal parts to the album Sanctavia , was premiered live in the Saturday evening program Pisa - Der Ländest by Jörg Pilawa on October 25, 2003 .

In 2003 he wrote and produced for Big Brother resident Ulf's album . In the fall of 2003, Siemons produced all playbacks and seven singles of the participants in this show for the Fame Academy casting show. Here he met the singer Ji-In Cho, who later became the singer of the band Krypteria . At the beginning of 2004, BMG released the Mainzelmännchen album, which was again a collaboration between Siemons and Arnz. The songs were produced and written by Siemons and Arnz.

In 2004 he produced and wrote the theme music for the Sat1 show Kämpf um Ihre Frau and published the single Come back to me with Nino de Angelo . At Christmas 2004, when a tsunami devastated coasts in Southeast Asia, Siemons received a call from RTL presenter Leonard Diepenbrock , who had the idea of using the original version of the song Liberatio sung by Sylvia Gonzalez Bolivar from the concept album Krypteria for a fundraising campaign. The title, written and produced by Siemons, became the music under RTL's appeal for donations. All proceeds from the sale of the single Liberatio benefited the victims of the disaster. This title has sold more than 260,000 times and was awarded gold. In Germany the song reached number 3, in Austria number 5 and in Switzerland number 20. Due to the great success of the single Liberatio, the band Krypteria was formed at the beginning of 2005 with Ji-In Cho as the new singer, Christoph Siemons as guitarist, Frank Stumvoll as bass player and SC Kuschnerus as drummer. With Ji-In Cho the song Liberatio was quickly re-recorded and also released.

In 2005, Krypteria released their second album In Medias Res with EMI Music Germany , which in turn was produced by Christoph Siemons. To release the album, Krypteria appeared on ARD's Saturday evening prime time live broadcast Pisa - Der Ländest . Shortly before the appearance of Krypteria , however, this live transmission was canceled due to the death of Pope John Paul II. Thanks to the Korean roots of the singer Ji-In Cho, this album will also be released in South Korea and landed at number 1 on the charts. In August 2004, on the occasion of their first appearance at Wacken Open Air , Krypteria released the EP Evolution Principle produced by Siemons . From 2006, Siemons worked on the productions of LaFee , which Bob Arnz had started as a producer and manager. 2010 to 2016: Liberatio Music

In 2010, Siemons produced the new album All Beauty Must Die by Krypteria , which was released in 2011 on the Liberatio Music label . This album reached number 24 in the German charts. At the same time, the BVB anthem 2011 Our Stolz Borussia, produced by Siemons for Borussia Dortmund and sung by Krypteria , reached number 6 in the German single charts. In 2012, in cooperation with the stadium announcer of BVB Norbert Dickel , he was able to surpass this success with the single Borussia schenk uns die bowl produced by Siemons and place 2 in the German single charts. In 2012, Siemons founded the pop band FREI with front man Daniel Wagner. 2016 until today

Since 2016, Christoph Siemons has fully concentrated on producing music again. In 2016 he produced a remix for the 80s icon "Sandra" for their 30th stage anniversary for the song "In the heat of the night". In autumn 2016 he produced the song "Tell me that you love me" for YouTuber "Emrah" and in spring 2017 for "Emrah" he produced "Deine Chemie". In the summer of 2017, the album produced by Siemons and Arnz by the "Powerboys", a band of 10-14 year old boys, was released. For "Die Räuber" he produced the title "Für die Iwigkeit" in autumn 2017, which became one of the most successful songs of the carnival session 2017/2018. In 2018 Mickie Krause published the high German version of this title. For the 2018 World Cup he will be involved as a composer and producer on the title "Floodlight", sung by "Adel Tawil". In 2019 the first single by Torben Klein was released, which Christoph Siemons produced. In addition, Christoph Siemons has been the guitarist of the Torben Klein Band since April 2019. Besides him, Rainer Kind (drums), Christian Besch (keyboards) and August Amaretto Wemke (bass) are permanent members of the band.

In April 2020, Siemons released the first song Victoriam of his new project Sinfoglesia via the newly founded label BurdaForward Music . The official song for Focus Online -action Corona Care went straight to No. 1 on the iTunes and Amazon charts.

Band guitarist

As the guitarist of Krypteria, Christoph Siemons plays the guitar on all Krypteria productions, but has been represented live by Oliver Singer since 2010.
