Torben Klein

Torben Klein (born April 9, 1976 in Aachen ) is a German singer, bassist and composer. He made a name for himself as a singer and composer for the Cologne bands Boore and Räuber . Since 2019 he has mainly been active solo.

Life

Torben Klein began to be musically active in his youth. Among other things, he was the singer of a cover band at the age of 14 . When he was 19, he joined the German-speaking boy group Verliebte Jungs, who won the ZDF hit parade with Will you get my children . After that he was active as a soloist. He also worked with various artists such as Ireen Sheer , Wolfgang Petry , Uwe Hübner and DJ Ötzi .

In 2008 he joined the traditional Cologne carnival band Boore as a bass player, for which he was active as a singer until 2012. Then he switched to the robbers, where he was active both as a bass player and as a singer. For the band he wrote, among other things, their hit Für die Iwigkeit . After he initially resigned from the band in September 2018 for the time after the 2019 carnival season, he was removed from the band on December 3, 2018, which had found a new singer in Sven West.

In 2019 he began to perform with a band under his name. His first single after breaking up with De Räuber was Fründe for et Levve . His live band consists of Christoph Siemons (guitar), Christian Besch (keyboards), Rainer Kind (drums) and Amaretto (bass). On 11 October 2019 his second solo album was released alone , the court reached 65 in the German charts.
