Bob Arnz

Bob Arnz (born September 4, 1962 in Cologne ) is a German music producer , composer and music manager . He is the son of the television director Alexander Arnz .

Life

While studying social pedagogy, he owned a rental company for musical instruments and worked as a drummer in various bands. From 1986 to 1991 he worked as an A&R manager at EMI Electrola, overseeing the hard rock band Axxis and the internationally known band Scorpions . In 1992 Arnz began to write songs, together with Christoph Siemons he founded the music publisher "Twoformusic". In 2008 he founded "Twoformedia GmbH", a music publishing and production company.

Career

After Bob Arnz had composed and produced songs for numerous artists in the 1990s (including Verliebte Jungs , Deeva and Michael Adams ), he and his partner Christoph Siemons developed the concept of musically marketing the container residents of the TV show Big Brother . They produced and wrote all of the successful musical productions for this show from 2000 to 2002, including several number one hits. Among other things, Arnz and Siemons produced and wrote the millions of sold singles I miss you like hell by Zlatko Trpkovski (was temporarily known as' Zlatko 'in 2000), as well as ' Zlatko and Jürgen' ( Jürgen Milski ) 's Big Brother . Among other things, Arnz and Siemons managed to place three titles in the top ten of the German single charts within a week (1. Big Brother , 3. I only want you , 7. I miss you like hell ). After the great success with Big Brother (over six million records sold) he produced a "Mainzelmännchen" album with Siemons for ZDF in 2003 and then retired from the music industry for a year.

In 2004 Bob Arnz developed the concept for the Popact LaFee . The album LaFee , produced by Bob Arnz at his own risk, was initially rejected by the record companies, but was finally released in 2006 by EMI Electrola. The album landed at number one on the German album charts . The second album LaFee's Now even more was released in 2007. It also reached number one in the German album charts , with the accompanying single Heul number three. In 2008 an English-language LaFee album entitled Shut Up was released , which was able to place itself in the album charts in France as well as in Germany. At the beginning of 2009, the third LaFee album Ring released , which entered the album charts at number eight. After that, Arnz and LaFee ended their collaboration. In total, LaFee had sold over a million records by then, and LaFee was nominated for the Echo eight times with these three albums, three of which she won.

In 2010 he produced the debut of the singer Carlos Sancha for EMI 7 Music and a year later an album by the group Tief. In 2014, Bob Arnz and the author Michael Kernbach ( Guildo Horn , Die Gerd Show ) developed the Bobblog, a weekly video blog about pop music.
