The Qingdao Liuting International Airport ( Chinese 青島 流 停 國際 機場 / 青岛 流亭 国际 机场 , Pinyin Qīngdǎo Liútíng Guójì Jīchǎng , English Qingdao Liuting International Airport ) is located in Qingdao , in the Shandong Province of the People's Republic of China . The airport is primarily used for national connections, with international flights to Australia , Germany , Great Britain , Hong Kong , India , Indonesia , Japan , Canada , Macao , Malaysia , Mongolia , Russia , Singapore , South Korea , Taiwan , Thailand , USA and Vietnam . Lufthansa currently flies directly to Qingdao and Shenyang from Frankfurt am Main . This new Lufthansa flight connection to Qingdao from Frankfurt am Main, at that time still via Shenyang, took place for the first time on March 26, 2012. Qingdao-Liuting Airport is the home base and hub for Qingdao Airlines, Shandong Airlines and China Eastern Airlines. (As of early 2019)
