Carlos Sancha (born January 18, 1983 in Wetzlar , Germany ) is a German singer .

Life

The son of a German mother and a Spanish father moved with his parents from Germany to Arizona in the USA in 1989 , where he spent his primary school years.

After the family returned to Germany, he began to teach himself to play the guitar and to take his first steps as a songwriter. He founded his first band in 1998, in which he also held the position of singer.

In the following years, Sancha played with various semi-professional formations before he was discovered in 2005 by the German music producer and songwriter Bob Arnz . The resulting collaboration resulted in the songs for Carlos Sancha's first album.

Thanks to this album produced by Bob Arnz, Sancha received a recording contract with emi7music , a joint label of EMI and MM Merchandising Media, at the end of 2008 .

The debut single Feuer was released on March 20, 2009 and reached number 97 in the German single charts on April 4, 2009, the album of the same name was released on May 22, 2009.

The Carlos Sancha Band has consisted of guitarists Olli Singer and Jan Richter, bassist Pogo and drummer Martin Gunkel since 2008.

At concerts the band is complemented by the keyboardist Christoph Gunkel.

The majority of the band members are long-time musical companions of Sancha.
