Singkep ( Indonesian Pulau Singkep ) is the southernmost of the Indonesian Lingga Islands off the east coast of Sumatra in the Malay Archipelago .

Singkep is located south of the neighboring island of Lingga at the southern end of the South China Sea .
The island's capital is Dabo Singkep in the south. Other places are Sungai Buluh, Jago and Pekakak on the north coast and Batu berdaun, Moroc Kecil and Moroc Tua on the south coast.
The island has an area of 757.3 km², the highest point is 475 m.
In the north, in the middle of the way to Lingga, lies the small neighboring island of Selayar with the capital Penuba. In the west is Posik with the town of the same name, surrounded by other small islands.
More than 100 km to the west lies Sumatra with the delta of the Indragiri , the sea area in between is called Selat Berhala.
Transport and economy
Ferries run from Tanjung Pinang on Bintan to Dabo and Jago.
Scrapping companies have settled on the island.
