Sipai
The "community Sipai of the Hezhen " ( Chinese 四 排 赫哲族 乡 , Pinyin Sìpái Hèzhézú Xiāng ) is a nationality community in the district of Raohe in the district-free city of Shuangyashan in the northeast Chinese province of Heilongjiang . The community has an area of 52 km² and about 2000 inhabitants (end of 2009). It is located directly on the west bank of the Ussuri , which forms the border with Russia here. Sipai mainly grows rice , soy and corn . In addition, fishing in Ussuri (45 fishing boats) plays an important role in economic life. The community belongs to the traditional settlement areas of the Hezhen, a southern Tungus people of Northeast Asia who traditionally lived from hunting and fishing.
Administrative structure
Sipai is made up of four villages and a state forest enterprise. These are:
- Sipai the Hezhen village (四 排 赫哲族 村), center, seat of the municipal government;
- Village Donghe (东河村);
- Pingyuan Village (平原 村);
- Shuguang Village (曙光 村);
- Majiazi State Forest (马 架子 林场).
