Sirène (ship name)

Sirène ( French : siren ) is the name of a number of submarines used by the French Navy :

  • Sirène (1901): The Q 5 Sirène was the lead ship of the Sirène class (1901) . The boat was decommissioned in November 1919.
  • Sirène (1925): was the lead ship of the Sirène class (1925) . The submarine was self-sunk in Toulon on November 27, 1942.
  • Sirène (1952): The Sirène (ex HMS Spiteful ) was a British Seraph class submarine . The French Navy used the boat between 1952 and 1958.
  • Sirène (1970): The Sirène (S 651) was a Daphné- class submarine . The boat was decommissioned in 1996.
