Sirpa Maarit Ryhänen (born November 27, 1966 in Ilomantsi ) is a former Finnish cross-country skier .

Career

Ryhänen, who started for the Ylikiimingin Nuijamiehet, ran her first World Cup individual race in Canmore in January 1987 , which she finished classically in 12th place over 10 km and thus achieved her best individual placement in the World Cup. In the 1991/92 season she was third with the relay in Funäsdalen and took 36th place over 30 km freestyle and 22nd place over 15 km classic in her only Olympic participation in February 1992 in Albertville . At the end of the season she achieved 43rd place in the overall World Cup and thus achieved her best overall result. The following year she came in 49th place over 30 km freestyle at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun . She completed her 20th and last individual World Cup race in January 1994 in Kawgolowo , which she finished classically in 25th place over 10 km.
