Sisinios II

Sisinios II (Greek Πατριάρχης Σισίνιος Β΄ ; † August 24, 998 ) was Patriarch of Constantinople from 996 to 998.

Life

Sisinios enjoyed a high level of education and received a master's degree . He wasn't a clergyman. On April 12, 996 he was elected Patriarch of Constantinople.

Sisinios wrote a treatise on marriage and divorce according to the orthodox understanding. He was also the author of a text on the martyrs Cyricus and Julitus and on St. Michael of Chona.

He died on August 24, 998.
