Francesco Porzio

Francesco Porzio (born January 26, 1966 in Naples ) is a former Italian water polo player . With the Italian national team he was Olympic champion in 1992 and world champion in 1994.

Porzio played like his brother Giuseppe Porzio for the Neapolitan club Circolo Nautico Posillipo and was involved in eight championship wins from 1985 to 1996.

At the 1988 Olympic Games , Porzio finished seventh with the Italian team. Four years later, at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, ​​the Italians won the gold medal. In 1993 the Italian team won the World Cup and the European Championship, followed by the World Championship in 1994.
