Sitona Abdalla Osman

Sitona Abdalla Osman is a South Sudanese diplomat .

Life

She earned a bachelor's degree in physiotherapy from Cairo University and then lived in Khartoum , Sudan . After the introduction of Sharia law , she left Khartoum and joined the rebels in southern Sudan. From 1985 to 2002 she worked for the South Sudanese Liberation Movement and the Sudanese People's Liberation Army . She took on leadership roles in the movement's women's wing. She also represented the movement in Austria . After the Naivasha Agreement , she joined the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2007. After South Sudan's independence, she worked for the diplomatic service of South Sudan from 2011. In August 2012, she became the first South Sudanese ambassador to Germany based in Berlin . On February 23, 2016 she received a second accreditation in Austria.

She speaks Arabic and English .
