Skatt Bros. was an American band that was founded in 1979 by Sean Delaney and Richie Fontana in Los Angeles and received a recording contract with Casablanca Records .

history

Sean Delaney founded the band in 1979. In addition to Delaney, the founding line-up included drummer and guitarist Richie Fontana, bassist Pieter Sweval, who had previously played with Looking Glass and Starz, and guitarist David Andez, who played backing vocals for the Village People album in 1979 Live and Sleazy had sung. Neil Bogart signed her to Casablanca Record & FilmWorks.

The band released the song Walk the Night, written by Fontana and Andez, as a single , which reached number 9 on Billboard Dance Music / Club Play Singles. The album Strange Spirits was also released , from which three other singles were decoupled in addition to Walk the Night . In a contemporary newspaper article, the group's music was described as "dance-oriented rock". In 1981 the group released the second album, Rico & The Ravens , but it was only released in Australia. There the band had a hit in 1979 with the song Life at the Outpost .

Walk the Night was used for the soundtrack of Grand Theft Auto IV in 2008 . The song runs there on the channel K109 The Studio .
