Skazi is an Israeli psytrance DJ with the real name Asher Swissa .

history

Skazi was founded in 1998 by Asher Swissa, who mainly produces psy-trance music with influences from punk / electro-punk.

His musical career began in 1990 when he and three friends founded a punk rock group called Sartan Hashad (German for breast cancer). The band played on smaller streets in Israel and Tel Aviv, although their success in the Israeli punk scene was limited. In 1996 Asher Swissa left the band to expand his career as a producer and songwriter. He started producing trance music, but kept the hard rock sound. He played guitar riffs in many of his songs. In 1998 he gave himself the stage name Skazi.

His first single Animal was released in 2000. The pieces essentially consisted of electric guitar sounds combined with hardcore techno drums. In the same year, the band's debut album, also titled Animal , was released.

In the next few years a combination of house and psytrance emerged as typical for the DJ.

Skazi also played at the VuuV Festival and the Nature One Festival. Concerts have so far taken place in September 2012 in Olimpijski and in April of the same year in Mumbai .
