Skeptic's Dictionary

The Skeptic's Dictionary (German: Dictionary of the skeptic ), which is published on the Internet and in book form, is a collection of skeptical essays about so-called pseudo-science , paranormal phenomena and occult themes of Robert Todd Carroll , philosophy -Dozent at Sacramento City College.

The website was started in 1994 with fewer than 50 entries and contains more than 700 keywords (as of August 2012). It is intended to provide a counterbalance to the mass of publications of paranormal literature and is aimed at doubters of the occult.

In 2003, Skeptic's Dictionary was published as a book by John Wiley & Sons . In addition to English, printed versions of the dictionary have also been published in Korean, Japanese, Russian and Estonian.
