The ski area at Cannon Mountain is a state-owned ski resort in the White Mountains of the US state of New Hampshire . The offer includes 10 lifts on a 1.07 km² ski area. Cannon Mountain has a total of 37 km of slopes, the highest point is at the summit at 1274 m. The US Olympic skier Bode Miller grew up on Cannon Mountain.
history
In 1938, the first cable car in North America was put into operation at the ski resort and remained in operation until 1980. The ski area has been owned by the state of New Hampshire since 2008, before it was privately owned.
Slopes
At Cannon Mountain , there are slopes for beginners and advanced. As usual in North America and New Zealand, these are marked with green (easy descent) to black (difficult descent).
