Skipper Bootshandel is a monthly magazine with the subjects of motor and sailing boats, which is published by MuP Verlag GmbH in Munich.

content

The magazine focuses on the topics of sailing and motor boats on a monthly basis. The boat test area is discussed in detail in the editions. In addition to news, Skipper Bootshandel also offers information on technology as well as tips and tricks. Reports on, among other things, boating areas and destinations at home and abroad, fishing reports as well as lifestyle and accessories are also an integral part of the magazine.

history

Erhard J. Nellissen, the first editor-in-chief of the Skipper , had the idea of creating a “platform for intensive communication between all recreational skippers”. At the beginning of 1978 he created a concept together with the publisher Dieter Bergemann. In May 1978 the first edition of the “Boots- und Wassersport-Magazin” appeared - at that time still in black and white - with a total of 48 pages. Issue number 1 cost 4 German marks . There were no thematic restrictions. Whether surfing , sailing , motor boating , jet skiing or water skiing , at the beginning the editors were open to all sides, which is also reflected in the four-part cover picture of the first edition.

From the spring of 2007, the Boat trade magazine owned subsidiary of Berlin daily Der Tagesspiegel to Verlagsgruppe Georg von Holtzbrinck , from 1 June 2009 to Dieter von Holtzbrinck media GmbH (DvH media). From spring 2014 to July 2016 the Bootshandel-Magazin was published by Der Tagesspiegel GmbH.

Skipper Bootshandel was created in 2016 from the merger of the magazine Skipper - Boats & Yachting and the Bootshandel-Magazin . On August 1, 2016, MuP Verlag GmbH from Munich acquired the Bootshandel-Magazin. This supplemented the Skipper - Boats & Yachting magazine, which was already published by MuP Verlag.

The Bootshandel-Magazin offered a used boat platform for private photo classified ads in printed form in German-speaking countries. This service will be continued in the Skipper Bootshandel magazine.

Online & ePaper

Reports and pictures can be found on the homepage. Contents from the booklets, such as travel reports and boat tests, are published there. The editors report on experiences on the water. The magazine is also available in digital form as an ePaper.
