Skorpidi ( Greek Σκορπίδι ( n. Sg. ), Pronunciation : [ skɔrˈpiði ]) is a small island of the Tilevoides in the Ionian Sea . It belongs to the subgroup of the "Prince Islands" ( Pringiponisia Πριγκιπονήσια) and is located north of the island of Skorpios near Lefkada .
The island is privately owned. It was originally acquired by the shipowner Spyros Livanos , the father-in-law of Aristotle Onassis , who bought the larger neighboring island of Skorpios . Today Skorpidi belongs to the grandchildren of Livanos, the shipowner Peter Livanos and the MP Spyros Livanos.
