Skrædderens falske Vidner

One of the false witnesses

Skrædderens falske Vidner ( German for  the tailor's false witness ) are five building stones on Bøgebjerg west of Reerslev, north of Ruds Vedby in Sorø Kommune on the Danish island of Zealand . A sixth stone - the tailor - is nearby.

"The tailor's false witnesses" rise on an area of about 20 × 15 m with a distance of 5 to 10 m up to 1.7 m above the ground. They have an irregular, rounded shape. There is no sign of ranking. The building stones are from the Venetian Age (650–800 AD) and can hardly be seen in the terrain, as most of them are surrounded by hedges in the garden. The tailor's false witnesses probably had runes painted on them , but these disappeared over time.
