Skrollan (Swedish spelling: Skrållan) is a name of a film character introduced by Astrid Lindgren in the 1965 film The Troll Child . The meaning of the name varies depending on the source. The two most common interpretations are, on the one hand, that the name combines the Swedish words for crawling and for screaming, or the child of wise men (scholars).

Based on the aforementioned fictional character, the name Skrållan also appears in Swedish in the 1980s in connection with a talking and screaming toy baby doll.

As a first name for people, Skrollan or Skrållan is not listed in older or newer Swedish first name directories.
