Skywalk Möhnetal

The Skywalk Möhnetal is a skywalk on the Liethsteil slope on the north side of the Möhnetal in Niederbergheim looking towards Allagen or into the Möhnetal.

history

The Skywalk Möhnetal was officially opened on November 22, 2019. It was developed as a LEADER project Skywalk-Möhnetal by the village initiative Allagen / Niederbergheim e. V. established. From concept development to implementation, the project is based on private initiative and commitment. It is part of the “3-Landscape Adventure Worlds Möhnetal” project.

The NRW Foundation sponsored 52,000 euros. A total of around 170,000 euros in funding was raised. In addition, there were private donations and several hundred hours of volunteer work.

Three hiking trails and a bike path lead to the walk. The bridge width of the Skywalk allows wheelchair access.

The panoramic view extends over the Möhnetal to the Arnsberg Forest .

Technical specifications

Length into the valley 31 m. Height difference from the top of the skywalk to the valley 80 m. It can carry around 190 people.
