Slab laser

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A slab laser is a form of laser in which the active medium (the laser crystal or the gas discharge ) has the shape of a plate ( slab ). The laser beam passes through the plate-shaped medium several times in a zigzag between narrow mirrors . The advantage of this form is the better cooling of the laser medium.
