The Slalom Lake ( Russian Озеро Слаломное Osero Slalomnoje , German ' Slalomsee ' ) is a small lake on King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located 400 m north of Ardley Cove on the Fildes Peninsula .
The lake is located near the Bellingshausen station , which was built in 1968 and whose scientists gave it the name. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee translated the Russian name into English in 1978.
