IC 825 is a spiral dwarf galaxy of the Hubble type S in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 64 million light years from the Milky Way and about 10,000 light years in diameter.
The galaxies NGC 4697 , NGC 4705 , NGC 4718 , IC 3807 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on May 6, 1888 .
