IC 826 is a bar-spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type SBb in the constellation Coma Berenices in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 311 million light years from the Milky Way and about 55,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Rudolf Spitaler on March 20, 1892 .
