NGC 4663 (= IC 811 ) is a 13.5 mag bright lens-shaped galaxy of the Hubble-type SB0 in Virgo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 102 million light years from the Milky Way and about 35,000 light years across .
The galaxies NGC 4658 and NGC 4682 are located in the same area of ​​the sky .

She was spotted twice; in 1882 by the German astronomer Ernst Wilhelm Leberecht Tempel (listed as NGC 4663 ) and on May 13, 1888 by Guillaume Bigourdan (listed as IC 811 ).
