IC 803 is an interacting pair of galaxies in the constellation Haar der Berenike. It is estimated to be 355 million light years from the Milky Way . Halton Arp organized his catalog of unusual galaxies into groups according to purely morphological criteria. This galaxy belongs to the class galaxies with jets (Arp catalog) .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on April 25, 1892 .
