IC 791 is a bar-spiral galaxy   with an active galaxy core of the Hubble type SBa in the constellation Coma Berenices in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 305 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 100,000 ly. 
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 4455 , IC 795 , IC 3359 , IC 3272 .
The object was discovered on June 6, 1866 by Truman Henry Safford .
