IC 777 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBab in the constellation Coma Berenices in the northern sky . It is an estimated 113 million light years from the Milky Way and about 40,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4251 , NGC 4295 , IC 3165 , IC 3168 .
The object was discovered by Truman Henry Safford on May 14, 1866 .
