NGC 4295 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Coma Berenices in the northern sky . It is around 379 million light-years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 100,000 light-years .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 3165 , IC 3168 , IC 3193 , IC 3212 .
The object was discovered on April 6, 1864 by Heinrich Louis d'Arrest .
